Mother’s Day is almost here, and you know what? I say dog moms qualify.
Of course raising a dog is no way the same as parenting a human. (I realize I’m a crazy dog mom, but I know there’s a big difference between the two.) That said, you’re still feeding, bathing, grooming, picking up after, exercising and all-around supporting a living, breathing creature.
(Also, the fact that I’ve come this far with Lucy says a lot about me since plants in my house have a 50% survival rate. #motherhood for the win.)
So give yourself some credit! You do a lot for your dog, and she would surely reciprocate with flowers or a card if she could. So take Mother’s Day to relax and, most importantly…
To help, we’ve created a list of ways you can treat yourself for Mother’s Day. So raise a glass! You’ve earned it.
1. Champagne
Because every day is a good day for champagne if you try hard enough.
2. Clothing that says it all
Wear your dog mom status like a badge of honor, because it is.
3. Peace of mind
This collar is basically a Fitbit for your dog. It tracks your dog’s activity, wellness (you can receive alerts if your dog is in a situation that is too hot or hold) and, most importantly, location. You can create a “safe zone” (i.e. your house/backyard) and be notified if your dog leaves it, and if your dog is lost (heaven forbid), you see his location on your phone.
4. A hat to wear on your next walk
Or to cover up a bad hair day.
5. A cuff bracelet that benefits other pups
These bracelets aren’t just beautiful — each purchase helps sponsor a shelter pet in need.
